Tuesdays are  busy days at Captured Moments. We have “our Ladies” that come every Tuesday for the weekly Make & Take project. We look forward to seeing our lovely ladies as well as new recruits that make it in on Tuesdays. Hey Everyone… our new on-line store and web-site are now up and Open for Business!! Yeah!! We are testing our skills at adding new product, linking things to this and that and hopefully getting our stuff out there to the World Wide Web.

Tuesday’s at Captured Moments is Make & Take Tuesday. Each week we offer a new Make & Take project that is designed to show a new technique, or maybe the use of a new tool or even just as a great idea to share. These projects are offered in kit form and are designed to go together quickly with little cutting or thinking for that matter.

Last Tuesday’s Make & Take was a set of three cards. These card kits are now available for purchase on our new on-line store!

We would love for you to take a minute and cruise around the new Website and store and let us know what you think. We are hard at work “tweaking” things, adding new stuff, and filling the site with the newest, most up to date info about what is going on at Captured Moments!

Here is a video tutorial we shot to demonstrate the technique of layering a set of paper ovals to form a dimensional pumpkin. Last week, we offered this great little Make & Take using a great dollar store find… a shadow box frame and yes, the frame was really just a dollar! We featured the layered pumpkin behind the glass to finish a perfect little Halloween Decoration!

The frame itself measures only about 5 inches square. The surface was painted and flat. We used a “crackle” background rubber stamp to make the frame look old and crackled. It really added a lot to the frame and the overall look of the finished product. Read the rest of this entry »

Here is a very simple photo frame hanger you can make easily with just scraps of this and that! We used pages out of an old dictionary as a backdrop, adding scraps of ribbon, lace, and embellishments. The frame itself is just a 5″x7″ piece of chipboard layered with another of the same size with an oval opening cut from the center.

Captured Moments offers Make & Take projects every Tuesday. These projects can usually be created within an hour and cost $4. The M&T kits are prepared and are available between 9am and 5pm all day on Tuesdays!
