Saturday we celebrated our 5th Christmas in July and again, it was a fun one!! Besides all the yummy Holiday fare, there were gifts for everyone, along with a  little competitive gift swapping action, and a full turkey dinner to round out the day.

We broke out the chocolate fountain and served up fresh fruits in the morning, adding oreos, nutter butters and shortbread cookies, pretzels and marshallows later to add more excitement to lunch! Read the rest of this entry »

We know that it is still nearly 4 months away, but we are already planning and preparing for our BIG Anniversary Celebration and our off-site 15 hour Crop! We have set our limit to 70 participants and we are already at 55! If you even had a thought of wanting to be there, you may want to decide and sign up!! We will keep a waiting list since many things can happen to people’s schedules in 4 months!!

We are so excited about our upcoming 6th Year Anniversary at Captured Moments. We are taking our traditional Anniversary Crop off-site to a convention hall and turning it into a Big Anniversary Bash!

On September 25th, we will host a 15 hour Crop at the Foundation of New York State Nurses @ 2113 Western Avenue, Guilderland (directly across the street from the 20 Mall/Price Chopper). The crop will begin at 9am and go until 12 Midnight! We will pack the day full of prizes, Make & Takes, classes/workshops and a special Anniversary Give-away. Read the rest of this entry »

Captured Moments will host our 2nd annual “Scrap” Yard Sale on Saturday, June 5th from 10am until 3pm! We held this event last May and it was a big success. There were lots of sellers and even more bargain buyers!

Captured Moments welcomes the Little Fat Book Club hosted by Melanie Phillips. We held the first meeting on Tuesday, March 16th from 6-8pm at the store (2088A Cuury Road, Rotterdam, NY 12303). The turn out was wonderful and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

Here is a sample of a Little Fat Book 4x4 page also known as Chunky Books, these mini pages are mini works of art. All types of media are used to create these very interesting conversation pieces.

This club will continue to meet on the third Tuesday of each month from 6-8pm. The Club host is Melanie Phillips. The club fee is $10 (cash or check, only, please… paid to Melanie directly) You are not required to pre-register but a head’s up that you are coming, especially if you are new, would be helpful. It was snowing outside all day, but we were so warm and cozy inside, enjoying the food, company and scrapping all day. The 12+ hour February crop at Captured Moments was a lot of fun. The food was yummy too!
