Tiffany and I were able to secure our location for the “Christmas in July” crop with the Albany County Cornell Cooperative Extension building in Voorheesville, NY. (Thank you Sue Black, for thinking of us and finding this location for us!) Now that we have the July off-site location secured, we have opened up the registrations for June, July and August crops. Registrations are open and available on-line and in store!

This will be the 7th “Cropical Get-Away” Crop that Captured Moments has had! We are really looking forward to next weekend (Saturday, January 21st, beginning at 9am and ending at 10pm) and have so much fun stuff planned for the day! We just want to remind everyone that the crop is off-site at the Stadium Golf Course Banquet Hall. (The address is 333 Jackson Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12304) More info regarding the location and directions will be posted at the end of this entry.

For those of you who are not joining us this year for the crop, please note that the store will be closed on Saturday, January 21st, as we pretty much pack up the whole store and bring it with us to the offsite crop. Read the rest of this entry »

We have found a home for our 7^th Annual “Cropical Get-Away” January 21^st, 2012 Crop!
Captured Moments has reserved the Stadium Golf Club Banquet room for the crop and we are very excited to work with The Stadium to make our crop fabulous! Of course we did have to explain what a “crop” was and what we like to do at these events, but we worked out all the details. The Stadium was very accommodating to our need for a longer day, multiple meals, and other non-standard requirements that fall outside the banquet packages offered.

We have arranged for a Brunch, Snack and Dinner, Dessert goes without saying… as well as a cash bar throughout the day! The banquet hall is beautifully decorated, perfect decor to go along with our Tropical theme and is all one level (no stairs at all!) Food will be served in a separate room so you don’t have to bring food to your scrap table. The lighting is bright and the parking lot big!

We need to keep our fingers crossed for no major snow storms around the time of the crop!!! That would be a real bummer. Let’s not even think about that!!

This offsite crop will allow a maximum of 75 croppers. Currently we are at 46, so we have a good amount of seats available. We do expect the crop to sell out, so check your calendars and register today!!
