We R Memory Keepers is quickly becoming a favorite among our regular shoppers. They produce the “Cinch” book binder as well as the “SEW EASY” program… I almost forgot to tell everyone, the SEW EASY merchandise finally has arrived!!! Anyone who was waiting for the handle tool or any of the rotary tips, please, stop in soon. We did restock with a good amount of product, but based on how quickly it flew out of the store the first time, it may not last long!!

Now, some of you have already enjoyed that last few months of the We R Memory Keepers, autoship program that they offer to small retail stores like us! Some of you may already be participants of our monthly card making class at Captured Moments. Michelle Kumar, who is a seasoned and very talented Stamping Up consultant offers monthly card making classes at the store! We are featuring Michelle’s class as a 2011 Preview as well, even though she has been running this monthly class with us for a few months already. Michelle’s class is held on the third Tuesday of each month and is open to anyone interested. We do need advanced notice if you are planning to attend so Michelle can be prepared with ample supplies.

Michelle has been a customer of Captured Moments almost since our beginning and Tiffany and I are very familiar with her ability to design and create beautiful cards. Read the rest of this entry »

We are lucky enough to know and enjoy the company of Marilyn Rock and Melanie Phillips, two amazingly talented artists who really enjoy sharing what they know! When these two ladies approached Tiffany and I about hosting the Little Fat Book Club at Captured Moments last year, we were very excited. Now, they bring to us an exciting monthly “art” workshop, open to anyone who is interested. Here is some information directly from Marilyn and Melanie…

Melanie Phillips and Marilyn Rock have come together to form an art group
called Artists’ Anonymous.   The group will be held at Captured Moments and will be held every month on the third Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

It will be run similarly to the former Little Fat Group club except each month there will be a different project offered that will pertain to any art medium which could include 4 x 4 pages, ATC’s, altered book techniques, journal page techniques, greeting cards, etc.   Melanie and Marilyn will be taking turns, each month, to offer an art project and there will be a $15.00 fee to participate.

Melanie and Marilyn will send out email notices for their respective month’s activity, in advance, so as to ask participants to respond, ahead, if possible, to allow for supply issues.

The next Artists’ Anonymous gathering is scheduled for Wednesday, January 19th, 6-8 p.m. at Captured Moments.   Marilyn will be sharing a fun technique with a Valentine’s theme.
