Hand-Dyed Ribbon Display Idea
Just for Fun!We have been hand dying vintage rayon ribbon with the Ranger Distress Stains ever since our good friend Maura showed us how and we are loving it! We have tried a second rayon weave which yielded slightly different results and depending on the ink color, sometimes pretty major differences resulted between the two ribbon types. One thing that is the same no matter what… they are all beautiful ribbons!
So, as a supplier of these stains, we wanted to show some samples of our ribbon staining so that our customers could see what kinds of results each color would yield. Once all these beautiful ribbons were stained, I looked around to see what I had that would make an interesting display. I noticed a pretty, metal dress form up on the shelf and knew I had a perfect display piece! What dress form wouldn’t want a dress made of flowing, colorful, hand dyed ribbons!
The little tags hanging off the bottoms indicates the name of the stain used on the ribbon. This is a quick post but I wanted to share the ribbon adorned dress form with you! (We just received some newer stain colors so I can give this little lady a top to her dress as soon as I dye some new ribbon!)
