Last year we started creating what we call our Framed Scrapbook Presentations. These very 3 dimensional shadow boxed 12×12 scrapbook pages are great showcases for just about any subject matter. Originally creating sport themed frames, we more recently created Military themed frames and we really hit home with them!

The page shown outside the frame details the depth and layering involved. The possibilities with these frames are truly endless!

Over the summer, Captured Moments brought some of our handmade paper craft items to the arts and crafts circuit and our Presentation Frames proved to be a popular item of interest, especially among the men who were (probably) dragged along to the event  unwillingly. We quickly realized that we needed many more military frames!  We sold all our military frames the first day, went home in the evening and cranked out another set (all branches) and sold more the next day!

What was even better was that people who saw us there and grabbed a business card, remembered us and the Framed Scrapbook Presentations. By early November through Christmas, we were commissioned to make close to 50 custom orders… almost all of them, Framed Presentations!

For this custom frame, we placed the photo as well as some additional embellishments significant to where he served.

Using three coordinating printed papers and at least 3 solid coordinating solids, we place a 5×7 photo mat and three smaller, additional mats that feature embellishments. These layers are built up with chipboard and foam board, really raising the pieces to varying heights.  Many nice military embellishments are on the market and they add additional layers and interest.

This custom frame was embellished almost exclusively with the officer's own memorabilia including his name pin, hat pin, arm patches and his U.S. Air Force Ring!

Besides the Military themed Framed Scrapbook Presentations, we have branched out to create completely custom designs, something that was developed purely because a customer asked for it.  These custom presentations are a great way to represent “a day in the life”, a special occasion,  a great accomplishment or even to showcase a great picture and nothing more. Again, the possibilities are endless!
