Christmas In July at Captured Moments
Crop Recipes, In-store Scrapbook Events, Store News and EventsSaturday we celebrated our 5th Christmas in July and again, it was a fun one!! Besides all the yummy Holiday fare, there were gifts for everyone, along with a little competitive gift swapping action, and a full turkey dinner to round out the day.
We broke out the chocolate fountain and served up fresh fruits in the morning, adding oreos, nutter butters and shortbread cookies, pretzels and marshallows later to add more excitement to lunch!
There was a lot of scrapping going on… cardmaking, mini albums, pages… a little bit of everything.
Tiffany and I frimly believe that when we hold these 15 hour crops, a Time Warp settles in over Captured Moments because the day goes by so fast, we are just reeling at the end. It seems like in the blink of an eye, dinner is being served and the day is more than half over!
This is a "Drunken Elf". It is equal parts Creme de Menthe, and Cinnamon Schnapps and then 2 parts cream, ice in a blender. We added whippy and red sugar on top!
Tiffany and I enjoy these crops so much. We love being able to “catch up” on the lives of our customers, listen to the funny stories, the laughing and fun. We look forward to them every month and we know how much our work and preparation is appreciated… Thank you so much for being awesome customers and actually, good friends.
Christmas in July has always been one of the favorite crops and usually, the first to sell out. Is it the injection of renewed “holiday Spirit” or maybe the food… the presents? A combination of all… we love it !
A full Christmas dinner with Turkey, stuffing, potatos, gravy, cranberry sauce and of course... Christmas cookies
Our big grand prize winner of the day was Doris… she won a gift certificate for a free crop! Congratulations Doris!
The next crop is August 28th and our theme is “Hippy 60′s” so it should be a “blast from the past” good time! This is a sold out crop, but we do hold a waiting list. If you are coming, make sure to wear your tie-dye, and your peace signs… maybe a flower in your hair!
Thanks for a great time, ladies… see you soon.
