Felted Animals… A Sneak Peek at Tiffany’s Other Hobby

Just for Fun!

One day while Tiffany was searching for exciting new products to stock our store’s shelves with, she happened upon a book that caught her eye. It was a “Felting” How to book and she ordered it.  The book arrived and within a few days she ordered the supplies she needed to give this “felting” technique a try. Of course, I am talking about Tiffany here, so it’s no suprise that her first attempt was nothing less than stellar! What do you think?

This Bear is part of a series called "The Wild Party Animals" Each one wears a party hat and some hold gifts or balloons.

If you are not familair with felting, these animals are formed and shaped completely out of loose wool, like what you see in this image…

Starting, basically, with a wad of wool and your felting needles and foam mat, you painstakenly form the shape of the body by repeatedly poking the needles in and out of the wool… it’s pretty neat. Tiffany claims that it is relaxing for her (except when she accidentally pokes herself with the needle!)

Here are a few more of the “Wild Party Animals” that she has come up with. Stay tuned, as I will post more of her finished felted animals.
