The “A-B-C” A.T.C. Swap is on!

Altered Art/ Paper Crafting, Store News and Events

The letter "P" in our ABC, ATC Swap! Pig, Paper, Pink, Porkopolis... all represented!

Some of you will have no idea what the heck we are talking about, and we apologize for that! But for those of you who do know, this Blog entry is for you! If you signed up for the “ABC” ATC Swap, the swap is full and ready to go. Well, if you are reading this and you really, really, want to know what we are talking about, I will explain…A.T.C’s are also known as Artist Trading Cards. These are 2 1/2″x3 1/2″ cards (size is specified by definition) that are really individual works of art! They can range from papered picings to elaborate original artwork in any medium possible. These cards get traded or swapped and the recipient winds up with a collection of very unique, mini-sized pieces of art!

For this swap, everyone signed up for a letter of the alphabet (as the letter “P” in the sample above… Thanks Maura!!) Each participant then creates an ATC card to represent that letter. Everyone makes 27 cards (usually the same but they can differ if the artist chooses to make them that way) Once the deadline arrives, the cards are then swapped so each participant has a complete alphabet set! Pretty cool.
