Build Your Own Book Club Week #5, Tutorial
Captured Moments Clubs, Page lay-out Ideas, TutorialsThis is the 5th week of the Build Your Own Book Club. We are moving right along! This week we will be working on Pages 8 and 9 as well as returning to Page 20 from week #1 to add an element.
This week’s extra embellishment are Kaisercraft Flowers. We will use these flowers this week, as well as weeks #5,8 and 9. Follow the directions and images to begin Page 8.
Make sure all your page 8 parts are accounted for!
- Using the 4″x4″ squares, layout your PAge 8 as shown.
Using the Die Cut "Our Family" Tag, cut around the text as shown to make a rectagular title (3"x 1 1/2") and mount the title as shown in the next image.

Here are the paper embellishments we will use on this page. We will cut the large leaf into two smaller leaves.
Cut down the larger leave into two smaller ones as shown
Use a pop dot to adhere the green center to the striped paper flower. Adhere the flowers and leaves in place
Lightly adhere the Kaisercraft flowers in place referring to the diagram. Next week, you will receive the brads you need to place the centers.
Before we move on to Page 9, Take a look back at week #1′s Page 20, the pocket page, and pull the Kaisercraft flowers you need for that page and set them aside. If you wait until next week, you will have the brads you need for the centers and you will not have to poke the brads through the pocket.

Now on to Page 9. We will be adding additional elements from week #2, and also more in Week #6.

For Page 9, pop out the paper embellishments shown here and see the next image for placement.
Place die-cut paper embellishments as shown, using a pop dot for the bird.
Now you will adhere lightly, the Kaisercraft flowers as well as the K&Co. Chipboard Words and Swirls from Week #2.

That will complete all that can be done for this week!
As Tiffany and I were discussing our upcoming fall schedule and planning our 2010 events we decided to offer Build Your Own Book again. Look for information on B.Y.O.B. 2nd edition beginning January 2010. We are thinking a Travel/Vacation album and even a Disney Vacation option might be in store. What do you think?

I’m game for B.Y.O.B part 2–
Having a great time putting this one together week by week and thinking about what photos will find their way onto the pages. Thanks for this enjoyable project you girls keep me motivated to scrap!!
