The Captured Moments’ monthly scrapbook kit club May issue is awesome! We’ve brought together the new Collage Press Knave of Hearts paper line with some great Maya Road embellishments to create this month’s issue. Beautiful, heavy weight, double-sided paper with mini chipboard gears, clock faces , green velvet ribbon and blue, wavy ric-rac offers a bit more of a masculine feel than our last few kits. I did hear Tiffany say that this is her favorite kit so far…

College Press, Knave of Hearts and Maya Road Embellishments together in the May Scrapbook kit club issue

We’ve used Collage Press paper in a kit before, and we loved it then too! Knave of Hearts is a fun and colorful line, with each side of the paper offering endless possibilities. Here is a breakdown of the kit as well as some sample page layout ideas!

Here is the sample page layout that is featured in the kit with a schematic diagram and color image. Notice the copper gears and the “vintage” medallion. Some of the elements on this page are offered as an extra side purchase to the May kit.

The embellishments from Maya Road offered in this kit are really cool. The sheer black and white clock faces also include the clock hands. The mini chipboard gears are neat too. We’ve used the Adirondack Acrylic Paint dabber, copper, to paint them for this page (the paint is offered as an extra side).

The clocks, gears, green velvet, double-stitched ribbon and the sky blue, wavy ric-rac are included in the kit.

The Extra sides offered this month compliment the kit perfectly. The $8 side is the Adirondack Acrylic Paint in metallic copper and includes a Colorbox Pigment Ink cat’s eye in Bronze. This is perfect for painting the gears and giving them the look of metal.

The other side, the $6 side, is a combination of three additional elements from Collage Press, The Knave of Hearts collection. The alphabet, journal ag sheet and the “Zig-Zag Vintage” Medallion.
