The April 2009 Crop event at Captured Moments was a blast! “April Showers” was our theme but there was not a cloud in the sky. In fact, we went from a kind-of spring to a hot summer-like day and reached a temperature into the 80’s! It was hard to stay inside to scrap with such nice weather, but by mid-day it was actually too warm. Our bodies aren’t use to that kind of heat yet, right? Thank goodness for air conditioning. We had a full house, some regulars, a few not-so-regular (that doesn’t sound good, does it?).
We are told that the food was awesome. We served a scrumptious brunch at 11am which included quiches, a reuben sandwich ring, potato bacon chowder, cream cheese bars, pudding cups, trail mix and a beautiful vegetable platter. (We agreed, it was pretty good.) Dinner included a family favorite, Chicken Romaine, a great spinach salad, roasted brocoli and cauliflower and of course, desserts to die for! Lot’s of pages were completed, great conversation was had, and laughter was heard at any given moment… an over-all great time. Tiffany and I love hosting our crops. It’s a treat for us each month to have such wonderful people to hang out with all day. We usually come away with some great new ideas, and new inspirations all around.
