A quick Cinch binding makes an instant photo book!

One thing Tiffany I produce a lot of, besides some fun projects we enjoy, are S-C-R-A-P-S!! Tons of little scraps of paper, embellishments, chipboard, ribbons and even small sections of cinch binding wires!  We do not like to waste anything, so we try and find a use and purpose for all those small pieces that are left over.

This mini chipboard notebook is a product of finding a cache of great scraps with one scrap being the little picket fence chipboard sticker! I could be wrong but I believe this little piece of fence was from a Bo Bunny line a few years back!

The book has just a few chipboard/paper covered pages and is bound with a short scrap of Cinch wire. Each page features a photo mat. The book measures about 4 X 6.

The popped up door panels are adorned with a thin mini wreath made from thin white wire and lightly coated with Flowersoft petals! A mini bow and a pewter-look brad for a doorknob.

If you have scraps from any project you can use them up with mini books like this and save them for later. They make a great host gift, or a last minute, “just because” gift  for a friend.

Along the same lines as the previous post featuring a “gift bag” adorned Birthday Card, this card with a “Get Well” sentiment features the cutest little  popped up. dimensional, tissue box!

A gift bag on a birthday card!

An adorable Birthday Card adorned with the cutest little 3 dimensional gift bag!  The bag is popped up on the card with a small square of foam, a wisp of real tissue paper is tucked in and the tiniest little gift tag is tied on! Nimble fingers do help to put this card together due to the small pieces, but it’s worth the effort… don’t you think?

You know those nifty Cricut cartridge boxes that have a built in magnetic closure? Well, if you are like us, we have accumulated many of these boxes (it helped that one of our customers who used an alternate storage system gave us a bunch!). We knew we wanted to do something fun with these boxes, so Tiffany of course, did something fun!

She found a roll of vintage looking wrapping paper and immediately thought of this idea. Knowing that a thinner, more pliable paper was best, the wrapping paper idea worked well. Read the rest of this entry »
